The Government of Cameroon has indicated that it is likely to be offering two scholarships for study at any university in the country which is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, for study commencing in 2003.
The awards would be of twelve months duration, and available for:
- study towards a Masters degree or other post graduate qualification offered by the host university
- up to one years study, at a Cameroon university, as part of a doctorate being sought at a university in another Commonwealth country, under joint supervision between the home and host countries.
The initial awards offered by Cameroon, in 2002, were available only to citizens of the United Kingdom. A decision on countries eligible for the 2003 awards is expected shortly.
