The Ministry of Education, Youth and Employment is offering the second Commonwealth Scholarship in Malta. The closing date for applications is 31st March 2007. Late applications will not be considered.

The government offers a scholarship tenable at the University of Malta, on a bi-annual basis as part of the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan, to students resident in other Commonwealth countries. The first Commonwealth Scholarship in Malta was offered in 2004 to a student from the University of the West Indies to follow the MA in Human Rights and Democratisation.

Awards are for postgraduate study, at either Masters or Doctoral level. They are open to citizens of all Commonwealth countries. Applications should be sent, in the first instance, to the nominating agency in the home country of the candidate.
